Manatark
Chaos Engine

Manatark's latest effort is 'Chaos engine', a conceptual album - loaded with symbolics (the artwork & the lyrics, in a very nice booklet!). Their music is both raw and melodic at the same time... Let's say, a style of blackmetal with slight heavymetal influences or something like that. Anyway the whole is very enjoyable! Lots of blasting going on with good blackish riffs and melodies, but there are several slower or clean parts, always with a 'catchy' tune in it. Here and there, we even get a keyboard which adds up to the atmosphere of the entity. Manatark doesn't move hell or earth with this release, but they definitely have their own sound and style - and I like it quite a bit!
