Loits
Ei Kahetse Midagi

Dealing with this tape I have to divide my futile blather into two parts. First of all, with „Ei kahetse midagi” I awaited another fucked up pagan influenced Black Metal botch from eastern Europe. But LOITS surprised me positively. The speakers emit a mostly cool bashing mixture of Death with some elements of Black Metal. Now and then the songs resemble each other and you think about a déja-vu. But otherwise they roll down everything on their path to the battlefield. A few instrumental acoustic parts break the line of the musical thunderstorm. The sound is partially raw, but always fitting to the crude music. And ten times better than most of other so-called underground releases. But secondly LOITS handle the WWII and the part of Estonia within it („Sinimäed 1944”). It’s not an historical view, just stupid glorification of Wehrmacht and estonian legionaries as well as fascist ideals („... never yielding to the ´truth´ of the hexagon”, „... the sign of the sun I revere...”). Herewith also the idiotic slogan „national romantic extreme Metal” is cleared up. Now you have to decide if just taking the music or the spirit behind it too. Or to leave the snake in its pit.
