Without Face

It's cool to receive cds from the most unexpected area of the world, far away from the American Empire and the usual globalization of audiences and bands. And it's even cooler if the cds we receive are of the quality of Without Face, a blow in your face of heavy sounds. The Estonian quartet plays very tight and violent riffs, while the voice is very beautiful and very good at the semi-groling parts, and in general managed to give a breat of fresh air to its music, even if the genre played is not new at all! The first listening might make you think too much of the influences of bands like Helmet or Machine Head, but at a better listening, from the second time on, you'll realize how good the band is at composing songs and at mixing the various kinds of metal that make up their music. The refrains are excellent, No face will make you sing along and the riff in Invisible Game are very cool. A very-changed cover of Judas Priest closes this Ep. A particular mention also goes to the production and the layout of the cd.
So, all in all... try something different form the usual german or american bands. You'll be glad you tries [o3]!
