Celestial Crown
Suicidal Angels

The creations on CELESTIAL CROWNs fourth album "Suicidal Angels" aren´t
completely new. The first five tracks are from the debut "Invasion Of
Suicidal Angels" and the three further songs consulted by the predecessor
album "A Veiled Empire". According to this an interesting study of the
development process of the Russian Estonians could be devoted... "could"
mind you, because the differences in the compositions are not all too large.
CELESTIAL CROWN build their music around a Death/Doom-mix with certain
Gothic-elements. That the earlier songs had still a bit rougher side and
sound somehow uneasy, in order to draw the attention of the listener on
itself, is forgiven. Above all the gothic-portion is not as present here as
within the current songs. The melodies and rhythms sound sometimes
exchangeable, to obviously is the passion for ANATHEMA and other
Doom/Death-bands of the early 90ies. But anyway, of this kind of music you
never can get enough - and CELESTIAL CROWN make their thing not bad.
Somewhat a more on the goal focues adjustment of the tracks, a tighter
stretching of the tension and a breath of more unmistakableness would help
the band to climb a further step in their career.
