Must Missa
Ma Ei Talu Valgust

You can always count on ex-eastern block countries for some serious first hour black metal and Must Missa is no exception. This act coming from the cold Estonia is not afraid to sound very Darkthrone like. With the four tracks of this «Ma Ei Talu Valgust» (that shall be released through Death To Mankind in the coming months) they make quite an impressive job. This album is a must to have especially if you’re still a big fan of that grim, old school, primitive black metal. Although I like what scandinavean’s black metal evolved into, I often went back to some old albums as «A Blaze In The Northern Sky» or «Under A Funeral Moon»… and this is eventually this kind of music Must Missa is now doing. A kind of cross between Darkthrone and Gorgoroth. Unfortunately the production work isn’t that professional (especially on the vocal work) and undermines the end result. Grim and evil black metal as it eventually must sound like. Good job.
