Loits
Vere Kutse Kohustab

Loits has woven this album around the well thought out concept of Estonian freedom fighters during WW2. Also musically, the band stands strong. Songs like Aeg Ärgata are modern and cold (vaguely Satyricon-like), others are predominated by moody and epic riffing, together with clean breaks and vocals. Loits thus wisely chooses atmosphere above pure speed and blastbeats: what they do, they do splendidly and in a meticulously executed fashion. I have trouble finding any serious remarks - the songs are well-composed, the riffs striking, the sound direct and harsh. For everyone into this kind of mid-tempo blackmetal: you most surely need to check this out!
