Must Missa
The Target Of Hate

This Scandinavian band, established in 1996, recorded a demo “Sex Beyond The Grave” and released it in 2002 on a Latvian label. Their second effort was released on a Spanish label under the Spanish title “Ma ei talu balgust” (translated as “I can’t stand the light”). They call themselves Ank, Viking and Suss. What should this band play? Yes, you are right - death metal.

But they play wonderful, pure, high-class old school thrash! Of course, here we can find death incorporations, but they are incrusted into the body of the thrash with such a charm and intelligence, that the hybrid child comes out absolutely mindblowing! From the first “Madness Reigns” you dwell into the atmosphere of the Slayerish curse and Exodus’ hopelessness.

The whole album till the closer “Our Future Is Black” is fresh and energetic. Yes, they have weak points, but they don’t mean that much. Listen to “The Target Of Hate” and you will understand. Don’t look at all the death attributes (such as the vocals sometimes). It’s crystal clear thrash. And it gives a hope for the style, cause we haven’t heard such an enthusiasm from the Titans of it for such a long time.
